FIRM HISTORY

In 2001, Mr. Sillman and Mr. Wright joined together to form Sillman Wright Architects. In the past 27 years, the principals have provided architectural services on a regional basis to a wide variety of clientele. The emphasis has always been to provide quality architecture that is directly responsive to our client’s needs. The successful execution of this philosophy has perpetuated growth and permitted the expansion of a broad based design background. Sillman Wright Architects prides itself in not only excellent designs, but cost-effective designs that are built within the clients’ budget. The firm strives to maintain a high level of sustainable design along with low maintenance materials and equipment.
DESIGN PHILOSOPHY
When asked to describe our design philosophy, our initial response is that we are “people architects”, meaning that we encourage and promote a high level of participation with our clients during the initial design phase. When involved with a client, be it an individual, corporation, or a team of representatives, Sillman Wright Architects stresses project management to allow appropriate scheduling for charettes, design approval meetings, design presentations, etc., throughout the various stages of a project. Not only does this “team” effort help us in the development of a design approach that best suits the client’s needs, but it also gives our clients a better sense of the value of their contributions. The firm utilizes every available means in the solution of each new design problem. Each program is carefully analyzed and researched for existing solutions to provide conceptual clues to organizational principles. This, coupled with time honored design practices, advanced technology, and existing environmental factors generate truly unique designs that are distinctive, yet highly cost effective.
