SCIENCE BUILDING This is an ongoing renovation of a 30 year old high school started in 2000 which included ADA barrier removal and upgrades, campus-wide technology infrastructure, asbestos/lead paint mitigation removal, HVAC upgrades, main electrical services replacement, interior and exterior painting, carpet and vinyl tile replacement and campus signage. Also, a new science lab/computer building was constructed.

COOGAN FAMILY AQUATICS CENTER The aquatics center, started May 2001 and completed in August 2002, is a community pool for swimming lessons, aquatic exercise and club teams while providing La Jolla High School with a home pool for swimming, water polo and student swim lessons. It is bounded by 2 separate structures and has a cogeneration unit to offset cost of energy. This site was a joint-use community, city and school district funded project.
